love means little alone
you have to show with cash
spend spend spend
buy expensive gifts
just to prove your love
because giving your heart
makes no one else a profit
I declare my freedom
from Hallmark holidays
and send a gift that lasts
that doesn't come in a box
love is in the air
how do you gift wrap that?
the value is in the gift
not the price tag it has
love is free but not easy
it takes time and energy
commitment and dedication
flowers are for the lazy
say "I love you" as you feel it
and show it in all you do
the gift will last much longer
when you give it every day
This is true for almost any holiday and celebration. If we do not show it or make sure others know it the other 364 days of the year, what does it mean? Being "in the moment" with every moment with everyone who is with us for that moment matters, "Showing up" in people's lives matters.
