Today was the day
that the world was to end
So I grabbed my cash
and went out to spend
no need for tomorrow
it won't come anyway
so time to have fun
living just for today!
that's when I realized
I have what I need
to enjoy this "last day"
more would be greed
if I don't make the cut
for life's second round
I will be content anyway
at home I'll be found
and so if you stay too
and you are feeling alone
you know what to do
just pick up the phone
come over to visit
and stay for a while
after all, if its over
we could all use a smile
