the best laid plans
never work anyway
too many variables
life gets in the way
unexpected changes
keep things interesting
but please remember
that is not always good
chaotic havoc ensues
topsy turvy bustle
hurry here and there
trying to be in place
finally understanding
I am where I am
its where I should be
plans can be wrong
enjoy the moment you are in
I made a pledge to myself to write a poem a day for the entire year. Now to follow through. I preface this with a reminder; most of the poems written for this year long project will be done so spontaneously and therefore will not be edited. Bear with me on this. The project goal is to get them written over getting them perfect. Several times there will simply be the poem with no title. When that happens suggestions for a title will be welcomed in the comments.

I like how you simply document your day or your feelings or thoughts as they smash into your life. There is a flow, dare I say a calm flow, to your words and ideas. It makes me want to say, "Sit down, tell me more about your day, your thoughts, what you meant". Most often I see how others relate to what you say. That an excellent thing to happen.
