days drifting past
a leisurely warp 6
just far too slow
yet already by us
how can something
be oh so sluggish
and lightning fast
at the same time?
tomorrow is so far
and today soon gone
is there any balance?
simply enough time?
we need to change
slow down today
never rush tomorrow
be in the now first
live in the moment
however it may be
not in the future
which may not come
I made a pledge to myself to write a poem a day for the entire year. Now to follow through. I preface this with a reminder; most of the poems written for this year long project will be done so spontaneously and therefore will not be edited. Bear with me on this. The project goal is to get them written over getting them perfect. Several times there will simply be the poem with no title. When that happens suggestions for a title will be welcomed in the comments.

I want to say, Time is (a) Relative, but that's not quite what you are saying. We have so little control in our life, so, our control is that one thing...living in the moment. It's one of the hardest things we can do. Time can be our best friend or our worst enemy. Time is both and neither. This moment is fully ours.
