pressure builds
balloon swells
reality stretches
tension grows
everything distorts
bigger and bigger it continues to grow
seeking more space to hold it all in
the is no more room in the inn for it all
BOOM
ballon bursts
pressure gone
stress relieved
only time to tell
how bad the damage
feel it building again
nooooo
sigh and relax
I do not like midterms
I made a pledge to myself to write a poem a day for the entire year. Now to follow through. I preface this with a reminder; most of the poems written for this year long project will be done so spontaneously and therefore will not be edited. Bear with me on this. The project goal is to get them written over getting them perfect. Several times there will simply be the poem with no title. When that happens suggestions for a title will be welcomed in the comments.

I recommend reducing your daily Cialis dose to once every other day. *whistles innocently and looks at ceiling*

ReplyDeleteYou will do just fine. I hope the results of your midterm make me an "I told you so" kind of person.
Now for the poem...a very nice way to represent stress. The words as well as the "shape" of the poem itself help the poem to create just the right effect.
