over the edge
frazzled nerves
tension rising
stress overload
too many people
all in my way
cramming aisles
blocking the way
season of shopping
bah humbug
I made a pledge to myself to write a poem a day for the entire year. Now to follow through. I preface this with a reminder; most of the poems written for this year long project will be done so spontaneously and therefore will not be edited. Bear with me on this. The project goal is to get them written over getting them perfect. Several times there will simply be the poem with no title. When that happens suggestions for a title will be welcomed in the comments.

The strongly crammed-in words leave no doubt as to how you feel, yet, I couldn't picture it any other way. I suspect you have an image that only happens in the movies and among close family and friends. It would be nice to start a trend of shopping only when we have enough time to provide a model of what we wish it would be. It would be part of living in the moment and making every moment matter. Okay, somebody slap me into the real world now. *smiles*
ReplyDeleteThis brought a smile to my face when I realised it's christmas shopping.
