The One Hundred Seventy Fourth, June 22, 2011

who has the control
over who we truly are
over what we can think
over what we can say
over what we can feel
over who we feel for
over who is right
over who is wrong
over what is right
over what is wrong
over what we can believe
over how we believe
over should we believe
over how we should live?

only I will decide for me
who will decide for you?

  1. My first thought is, perhaps in this country this is true. Perhaps in this time this is true. My mind pings like a ping-pong ball in flight to where this kind of thinking will harm others or themselves, if taken to the extreme. I know it also brings up fears within me, but those fears are simply fears within me.

  2. I would decide for myself, only I can mold my own world and life. Love this one .... really has meaning to me in my life when I do sometimes let others mold me. Makes a good reminder. Thank you ... Your Poems inspire me everyday!

  3. This one is deep. Yes we can decide but is our decision free from control?
